Trish brings to DatocWitten Group over 14 years of nonprofit experience to include roles as a board president, executive director, development officer, independent consultant, and volunteer. Since starting with DatocWitten Group, Trish has worked with the USO and the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. She most recently worked as the Aquarium Fund Manager for the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation. Before the Aquarium, she served as the Executive Director of the Norfolk NATO Festival, formerly Norfolk’s Azalea Festival. From successfully leading annual fund campaigns and participating in capital campaigns to producing auctions, galas, and festivals, she has worked with a variety of nonprofits.
As the wife of a retired United States Marine and the daughter of a retired Naval Aviator, Trish brings with her a thorough understanding of military culture and is passionate about supporting military members and their families. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, she served as President of the Marine Officers’ Spouses’ Club, volunteered as a Stockroom Manager at the Marine Gift Shop, supported Marines and their families as a Key Volunteer, and served on the board for the American Women’s Welfare Association. Growing up near the beach, she is also committed to conserving our marine environment and is a volunteer for the Virginia Aquarium’s Stranding Response Team.
Trish earned her undergraduate degree in Marine Science and Geology from the University of Miami and her master’s degree in Marine Science from the College of William and Mary’s Virginia Institute of Marine Science. She holds a Certificate of Nonprofit Management and serves on the board for the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the Government Relations Chair. She lives in Virginia Beach, VA with her husband Don and is the proud mother of two college students, Yates and Elizabeth.
Fun Fact: Trish raises oysters off her dock in support of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s oyster restoration efforts.
